The US and South Korea have suspended planning for their next joint military drills.
It follows through on a promise made by US President Donald Trump at talks in Singapore with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.
Mr Kim, meanwhile, is making a two day visit to China to discuss denuclearisation commitments he made at the meeting with President Trump.
The ending of US-South Korea war games had been a long-standing demand from North Korea and China too.
