MAY UNDER PRESSURE OVER NHS 'BREXIT DIVIDEND'

UK Prime Minister Theresa May's under increasing pressure to explain exactly how she'll pay for plans to boost health funding by $26bn a year by 2023.

She says the National Health Service in England will have to ensure 'every penny' of the extra funds will be well spent.

Mrs May said on Sunday that the government would partly pay for the cash boost with a so-called 'Brexit dividend' as Britain leaves the EU and winds down its contributions to it.

But Paul Johnson of the Institute for Fiscal Studies says there's no such thing.
