UK Prime Minister Defends Syria Air Strikes

The British Prime Minister Theresa May has been explaining her government's actions and decision behind launching airstrikes on Syria, alongside French and US coalition forces,  in response to the use of chemical weapons by the Syrian regime.

The move has caused outrage in the UK, as MPs were not given the opportunity to vote on whether to carry out military action.

Prime Minster Theresa May argued that evidence strongly suggested that the Syrian Regime had used chemical weapons  and that a diplomatic process to remove Syria's chemical weapons capability would not work
