India and China have announced that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Xi Jinping will be meeting later this week for a first ever 'informal summit'.
Both nations have indicated this is an attempt to dramatically reset ties in the backdrop of the 73-day military standoff between Indian and Chinese militaries at Doklam last year.
Sources say that the two day summit is going to be informal in nature- there will be no bilateral delegation accompanying the two leaders.
Our India correspondent Neha Poonia has the details.
