Indians take to Twitter to complain about cash crunch

#CashCrunch is the top trending hashtag on Twitter in India after ATMs in at least ten states reportedly ran dry.

India's Finance Minister has said that the government has reviewed the situation and has blamed the problem on a demand-supply mismatch.

The episode has brought back memories of 2016 when in a shock announcement India banned nearly 90% of the currency in circulation- a move that led to a cash shortage that lasted months.
