MUD-SLIDES KILL AT LEAST 13 IN CALIFORNIA

At least 13 people have died after mud-slides in Southern California which police say left areas looking like a 'World War One battlefield'.

Over 150 people have been taken to hospital after heavy rains caused flooding and mudslides.

And in Romero Canyon to the east of Santa Barbara around 300 people are thought to be trapped.

Officials fear the death toll will rise with a number of people unaccounted for.

Many of the affected areas were scorched by wildfires last month.

These people live in Burbank.
