According to diplomats at the United Nations, Japan has circulated a
draft resolution in the hope of renewing Syria's chemical weapons
panel for one month.
This comes after Russia vetoed a resolution in the Security Council
Thursday that would have extended the Joint Investigative Mechanism's
mandate for another year.
