The former US National Intelligence Director says President Trump's downplaying of the threat posed by Russian election meddling could compromise national security.
Trump previously suggested Russian President Vladimir Putin was being sincere in his denials that Moscow engaged in election meddling.
Speaking on CNN's State of the Union, James Clapper said President Trump's ambiguity on the threat of Russia is a danger to the U.S.
