Delhi to adopt tougher emission standards to cope with air pollution

The Indian government has advanced the deadline for New Delhi to adopt the world's toughest vehicle emission standards- Euro VI by two years. 

This is an attempt to mitigate air pollution in one of the most polluted cities in the world.

For over a week now, Delhi has seen hazardous levels of toxic air pollution- prompting many citizens to say they are leaving the city.
