Africa Union Commission chair: military not engaged in "coup" in Zimbabwe

The Chairperson of the African Union Commission says the AU has been assured that the military is not engaged in a coup d'etat in Zimbabwe, and he's expressed optimism that SADC, the Southern African Development Community, can help maintain stability in the country.


Moussa Faki was speaking in Washington DC, where he and other AU officials are due to spend the next 2 days engaging with the Trump administration.
