Schools in northern Ireland are staying closed for a second day as storm Ophelia is expected to cause further disruption. Three people died in hurricane force winds in Ireland on Monday.
On Tuesday Scotland is expecting gales of up to 70 miles per hour while thousands of houses are without power in Wales and across Ireland.
Sean Hogan from the Republic's national coordinating centre is warning people to take care.
