Air quality in Delhi worsens ahead of Diwali, caution advised

Pollution monitoring agencies have sounded an alarm following New Delhi's deteriorating air quality and have advised residents the use of masks for the next few days.

Doctors say they have seen a sudden spike in patients complaining of respiratory issues.

Delhi is among the most polluted cities in the world and has recently launched a six month long action plan to tackle air pollution.
