May reportedly to offer $27 billion to EU to settle "divorce bill"

British Prime Minister Theresa May is reportedly preparing to offer the European Union 27 billion dollars (22.5 billion euros) in budget contributions until 2020 in a speech on Friday.

It comes after she has reportedly made peace with British Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson who laid out his vision for Brexit in an article which was widely seen as a challenge to Theresa May's authority.

From London, Catherine Drew reports.
