Hurricane Irma bears down on Florida

The National Weather Service says hurricane conditions are being felt across Cuba and the Bahamas, issuing storm surge warnings for much of southern Florida.

Hurricane Irma has already killed 21, with outer Caribbean islands worried about the threat from Hurricane Jose, already a Category 4- with winds topping 150 miles per hour or nearly 240 kilometers per hour.

While U.S. President Donald Trump has promised that teams are prepositioned, Homeland Security Adviser Tom Bossert warns that there will be a period of time when everyone must shelter in place as Hurricane Irma roars across Florida.
