Google's Alphabet Announces Deal to Buy an HTC Division

Google's parent company Alphabet is paying $1.1 billion for a division of the Taiwanese hardware company HTC. 

If approved by regulators, Alphabet will acquire HTC's division currently developing Google's Pixel smartphones.
