UN panel denounces US government for failing to reject racist violence

INTRO:
A panel of United Nations experts have denounced the US government for
failure to "unequivocally reject and condemn" racist violence.

This in reference to US President Donald Trump's controversial claim
that both sides were to blame after a rally of white supremacists in
Charlottesville, Virginia turned deadly.
