U.S. fines ExxonMobil over Russia dealings during Tillerson tenure

The U.S. Treasury Department is fining ExxonMobil two million dollars for violating sanctions against Russia, while U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson was in charge of the energy giant.

Improper business dealings were cited dating back to May 2014, shortly after the then Obama administration slapped sanctions on Russia, over its annexation of Crimea, and for stoking violent unrest in Ukraine.
