U.S. hopes to see Chinese activist Liu treated for cancer 'elsewhere'

US Ambassador to China Terry Branstad has expressed hope that activist and
Nobel Peace Prize winner Liu Xiaobo be treated for cancer 'elsewhere'.

The newly appointed diplomat says he hopes to serve as a go-between with
China and the US and work together on human rights issues.
