Russia's Defence Ministry says it's verifying whether the head of the so-called Islamic State, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi was killed in one of Russian air strikes in Syria carried out in May. The Kremlin said Russia's President and Commander in Chief Vladimir Putin is informed about the ongoing investigation, but refused to confirm reports of al-Baghdadi's death.
