India hikes visa fees for foreigners by 50%

Any foreigner wanting to travel to India will now have to pay 50% more for a visa.

The hike announced by the Indian government is reportedly an attempt to match visa fees charged internationally by other countries.

Many experts believe this is a response to many countries like the US, Australia and New Zealand announcing work visa curbs.
