US: Immigration-related arrests surge in 2017

INTRO:
Immigration-related arrests spiked in 2017 by almost 40 percent,
according to a study was released on Wednesday by Immigration Control
Enforcement or ICE.

ICE arrested an average of 400 undocumented people per day, with
almost 42,000 arrests made this year in total.
