US army: Chelsea Manning to be unpaid, active duty soldier after release on Wednesday

The US army says Chelsea Manning will be an unpaid, active duty soldier when she is released from prison this week.

Manning's 35-year sentence for leaking classified information was commuted by then US President Barack Obama in his final days in office earlier this year.
