Study shows Mexico is the second most violent country in the world

A new international study reveals that Mexico saw 23,000 homicides in 2016 and the only country that has seen more violence and death is war-torn Syria.

Mexico's violence is linked to rivalries between drug cartels which have reached the level of an armed conflict.
