U.S. President Donald Trump is now changing his story, saying he was going to fire James Comey as FBI Director, regardless of what the recommendations were from the U.S. Deputy Attorney General.
The number two at the U.S. Justice Department has threatened to quit over being put in the middle.
The FBI Director normally serves a 10 year term, independent of the presidency, which is a four year term.
