LIB DEMS RELEASE MANIFESTO AS LABOUR TIPPED TO LOSE BY KEY ALLY

On the UK election trail, one of the key allies of opposition Labour says he can't see the party winning on June 8th.

Unite union boss Len McCluskey says it will be a successful election campaign for Labour if it loses 30 seats.

This after Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn released a tax-and-spend manifesto on Tuesday, promising billions (of pounds / euros / dollars) in extra funding for health services and schools.

The governing Conservatives will unveil their manifesto on Thursday.

Wednesday is the Liberal Democrats' turn, and reporter Ashleigh Carroll says it includes several key pledges.
