A Melbourne man accused of helping his mates buy a boat so they could join an Islamic State faction allegedly demanded a refund after he realised the boat was in no condition to reach Bali.
By then the Australian Federal Police had begun controlling all contact between the seller and Murat Kaya who wanted to buy the vessel that had been advertised on Gumtree.
