President Trump told top Russian officials that the former FBI Director James Comey was a "nut job", and that by firing him he had alleviated "pressure" caused by the Bureau's probe into his campaign team's ties with Russia.
The revelation contained in a White House document came minutes after President Trump headed off on his first international trip as US leader.
