10-year-old Indian girl, raped by her step-father, allowed to abort her foetus

A minor girl who became pregnant after being allegedly repeatedly raped by her step-father has been allowed to abort her foetus.

Doctors in the Indian city of Rohtak said that despite there being risks to her health, they have agreed to conduction the abortion on humanitarian grounds.

In India, it is illegal to abort if the foetus is older than 20 weeks, unless there is danger to the mother's life.
