Trump budget chief describes debt elimination as "hyperbole"

President Trump's promise to eliminate the US national debt is "hyperbole," according to his budget director.

In an interview with CNBC, Mick Mulvaney said he was not going to be able to achieve the goal outlined by Mr Trump during the election campaign.
