Torture widespread in Afghanistan according to UN

The United Nations has found that torture in Afghanistan remains
prevalent despite President Ashraf Ghani's pledge to eliminate the
practice.

This comes as the International Criminal Court is also carrying out
its own separate investigation into the use of torture in the country.
