A study of social attitudes in Scotland says support for independence is at its highest level ever. However the Scottish Social Attitudes survey also reveals that support for the European Union is on the wane.
This comes as the Scottish government prepares to seek a second referendum on the issue amid concern about Brexit and against the wishes of the UK government. From London, Catherine Drew reports.
