PSA BUYS GM EUROPE OPERATIONS

PSA Group will become the second biggest carmaker in Europe after Volkswagen as it takes on GM's Vauxhall and Opel operations.

PSA says it plans to cut costs to boost profits, leading to fears for jobs, particularly in the UK where Vauxhall employs more than 4000 people.
