Mosul: residents flee intense fighting for bridge control

Thousands of residents of Mosul are trying to flee the western part of
the city as Iraqi troops battle Islamic State militants for control a
key bridge.

A US-led coalition is helping the government in the months-long fight
to retake the IS stronghold.
