Militants stop civilian evacuation from Mosul

Iraqi government forces say they've tried to evacuate civilians from
part of the city of Mosul, but have been stopped by militant snipers
from the so-called "Islamic State" group.

As many as 600,000 civilians remain in the western part of the city -
with reports that insurgents have used civilians as human shields.
