May: Terrorist attack in London "sick and depraved"

British Prime Minister Theresa May has described the terrorist attack that left 4 people dead, including the attacker, as "sick and depraved".

Mrs May made the statement after chairing a Cobra meeting, a panel of senior police and security officials.    She confirmed that one attacker was responsible for driving into pedestrians on Westminster Bridge before he stormed the grounds of Parliament and stabbed a police officer to death.  The intruder was shot by armed officers.

Many people injured on the bridge are in a critical condition.

Mrs May said the city would not live in fear of those who did not share the UK's values of freedom and liberty.
