EU's Donald Tusk Reacts to Article 50

The president of the European Council Donald Tusk has confirmed he has received the letter from the UK formally starting brexit.

It comes 9 months after the UK voted 52 per cent to 48 per cent to leave the European Union in a referendum.

The EU and the UK now have two years to negotiate a deal for the exit.

The European Council will send out it's guidelines outlining the EU's priorities to the remaining 27 member states within the next 48 hours.
