BREXIT BILL BECOMES LAW

The UK's Brexit legislation has passed Parliament.

It means Prime Minister Theresa May can now trigger Article 50 which will start formal negotiations with the European Union on the UK's exit from the bloc.

She's expected to do that at the end of March.

UK correspondent Theo Usherwood says the timeline has changed because of the SNP's demand for a new Scottish independence referendum.
