Merkel and state leaders agree on deportation plans

German chancellor Angela Merkel has agreed on measures with the country's sixteen states to speed up deportations of rejected asylum seekers.

There are more than two hundred thousand people who are currently being asked to leave Germany after failing to qualify for asylum.
