Human trafficking to the US rose by over 35% in 2016

INTRO:
Human trafficking in the US had an uptick of nearly 36 percent in
2016, according to a report from the National Human Trafficking
Hotline.

The largest number of trafficking incidents reported were in
California, with Florida and Texas also seeing more cases than ever
before.
