The US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces is advancing on a strategic dam on the Euphrates River as part of an operation to take back Raqqa from ISIL.
The ongoing offensive comes after the Kurdish-Arab alliance recaptured the ancient Qalaat Jaabar fortress from the extremist group.
