Sec. Kerry defends Syria policy

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry is defending American policy on Syria, especially the promise by President Obama to use military force against Syria if President Assad used chemical weapons.

The U.S. military has confirmed to the Washington Post that it is now coordinating drone flights with the Turkish military as the fight against the Islamic State continues.

While some believe that the U.S. military should be on the ground in Syria, Secretary Kerry told an audience at the U.S. Institute of Peace that getting rid of the chemical weapons was a better deal.
