Obama delivers farewell speech in Chicago

US President Barack Obama has delivered a nostalgic and emotional speech in his farewell address to the nation.

The forty-fourth president of the United States sought to define his legacy - but also launched a "defence of democracy" ahead of President-elect Donald Trump's administration.
