Leading French presidential candidate in trouble over wife's "fake job" allegations

Leading French presidential candidate Francois Fillon paid his wife 500 000 euros as a parliamentary assistant when he was prime minister - and former members of his team say she was never seen in the office. 
The right wing candidate has a reputation for being clean of the string of corruption scandals that hit the Nicolas Sarkozy cabinet in which he served.
