Hundreds and thousands of Donald Trump supporters, and protesters, are gathering in Washington DC, to witness his inauguration as America's 45th president.
Donald Trump will be sworn in at midday local time, in the shadow of Capitol Hill.
Scores of House Democrats are boycotting the event, but the Obamas and Clintons will be attending.
