US opt to not veto UN resolution on Israeli settlements

The United States has chosen not to veto a United Nations resolution
that demands an end to Israeli settlements.

The measure was adopted by the Security Council and comes despite
fierce opposition from the Israeli government and US president-elect
Donald Trump.
