South Korean parliamentarians have voted to impeach President Park Geun-hye amid a corruption controversy which has engulfed her administration.
Some of Ms Park's own MPs voted to impeach her and her authority now passes to the Prime Minister.
A close confidante of Ms Park is accused of using their relationship to increase influence and for personal gain.
