British government ministers have been warned they must have what's been described as a "clear game plan" for a transitional arrangement for Brexit, as Britain prepares to negotiate with the European Union on leaving the bloc.
A committee of the House of Lords is warning an interim deal would save UK firms from stiff tariffs and other trade barriers if a complete agreement is not reached in the two year deadline. From London, Catherine Drew reports.
