IMF Managing Director Lagarde to go on trial in France

The IMF Managing Director Christine Lagarde goes on trial in France on Monday for allegedly approving a payment of 425 million euros to businessman Bernard Tapie in 2008 when she was French finance minister.
Lagarde is accused of negligence for signing off on the out of court settlement.
