GERMAN POLICE INVESTIGATE BERLIN 'TERROR ATTACK'

German officials are investigating what they now say was likely a terrorist attack on a Christmas market in Berlin, which killed 12.

48 people were also injured as a lorry was driven into the busy market in the centre of the city.

The driver of the lorry has been detained, and is thought to be an Afghan or Pakistani asylum seeker.
