Fresh offensive expected in Mosul

According to Reuters forces in Iraq are preparing for a fresh assault
on the city of Mosul in a bid to purge the so-called Islamic State.

Troops in Iraq backed by the United States have been advancing on the
IS stronghold for several months but have faced fierce resistance.
